The Swan is a Pub and B&B located on the edge of the Cotswolds in the picturesque village of Eynsham, just five miles from the city of Oxford.
Dating back to the late 17th century, when the building was built as a coaching Inn. The Swan sits on the site of the Medieval monastery guest house and over a thousand years later still gives a friendly and warm welcome to locals and travellers alike today.
Enjoy real ales, draught ciders, lagers, spirits and wines in our cosy lounge or while watching live sport in the bar. We offer great pub food everyday between 5pm and 9pm Monday and Tuesday and 12pm and 9pm Wednesday - Sunday. Late night menu available to eat in or takeaway on Friday and Saturday 9pm - 1am.

PUB EVENTS
LIVE MUSIC
The Swan is at the centre of live music in the village and we have a music venue in our Stable room able to hold an audience of 50 people We have something for everyone whether its Jazz, Folk or new emerging local artists and bands.
We host the a monthly Eynsham acoustic club. Eynsham’s popular Ukulele group also meet weekly at the pub.
We hold an annual Reggae Festival on the Eynsham Carnival weekend.,with Reggae Djs and the Fie;d Frequency Sound System..
Jazz is the first Monday of the month where Alvin Roy brings a range of excellent musicians to play Jazz in our Stable room.
Folk Night is every third Monday featuring local musicians. Held in our stable room its a great night which often ends in an informal session.
Our stable room can also be hired for rehearsal space at very reasonable rates.
PUB SPORTS
We believe that Pub Sports are an essential part of pub life. We have a Darts team playing on Wednesday, a Pool team on Thursday and Aunt Sally teams in the Summer from March . We are always keen to recruit new teams and players for our sports teams.
If you are looking for a gentler Pub Game, we have Crib and board games available for you to use.
Venue Hire
Whether you want to relax in the main bar, have a private party in the function room or a sit down meal in the dining area, we have an area for all occasions.
Our main bar is the ideal space to relax with friends over some drinks and bar snacks, we have two large TVs for Sports covereage.
Our dining area comprises two rooms, both of which can be privatised for a truly special experience.
Our function room is a separate building available for hire for any type of occasion. it has its own outdoor area which can be privatised this is a really flexible space ideal for your next occasion.

We have five bright and traditional ensuite bedrooms, all of which are fully equipped with showers, free high speed wifi, flat screen HD TVs with all Freeview channels and refreshment tray with tea and coffee making facilities. Parking is available for all guests in our private car park.

DIRECTIONS
From the south:
Leave the M40 at junction 8, take the A40 towards Oxford/Cheltenham
Continue straight, at the Banbury Road roundabout take the second exit onto Sunderland Avenue/A40. At the Wolvercote roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A40/Northern bypass. Continue to follow the A40 until the roundabout, take the 1st exit following signs for B4449. Turn right onto Hanborough rd then continue on to Mill Street, take a right on to Acre End Street where there is parking in front of the Swan. To enter the car park, take a left after the Swan onto station road and another left into the car park.
From the midlands:
Exit the M40 at junction 9, take the A41/A34 exit to Bicester/Aylesbury/Oxford/Newbury
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A34, take the A44 exit toward Oxfordat the roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Woodstock road, A44. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B4449 and follow directions above.
By train:
Trains to Oxford city centre and Hanborough stations are both within a 10 minute taxi ride to Eynsham. Oxford train station has a taxi rank but we would advise pre-booking a taxi if arriving into Hanborough.
By bus:
The S1 and E1 buses stop directly outside the Swan and run every 15 -20 minutes between Oxford and Witney. Timetables can be found on the Stagecoach website here
